Local Area Information

Nothing is more than a short drive away from the apartment - from the beaches of Fuengirola and La Cala, to the beautiful white village of Mijas Pueblo on the mountain behind.

You’ll find some of the Costa’s best golf courses in the immediate area, and there’s a wide range of other activities too; everything from horse-riding and cycling, to the Fuengirola Bioparc and the Costa Water Park.

In these pages, you'll find some good ideas for trips around Andalusia, but here’s a snapshot of what you will find right on the doorstep.

Fuengirola

Fuengirola is a five-minute drive, and you’ll find plenty of parking in the centre. Taxis and Ubers are easy to get – there’s a taxi rank right outside the apartment, and several in town, including one by the rail / metro station.

There’s lots to do in Fuengirola, it’s a bustling town with all the shopping and eating you could want, and plenty of places to watch the world go by. We’d recommend taking your time to wander the streets around the Plaza Chinorros, which is surrounded by restaurants, or along the seafront.

Super-local

Even closer to home, there’s several good restaurants and bars. Turn right at the bottom of the road, away from the beaches, and you’ll find another small strip of restaurants and a large outdoor BBQ area where all the locals descend every Sunday. It has built in grills if you want to try your own asado!

Head in the opposite direction, toward the coast and Fuengirola and you will find a few good supermarkets to stock up at. Aldi is close enough to walk there and back, but there’s several more to choose from. There’s also a couple of gas stations within a 2 minute drive.

And it you don’t even feel like leaving the street, El Golf is open seven days a week for food and drink overlooking the golf course. It’s about a 3 minute walk.
