Getting Here

The local airport is Malaga, which has direct flights from more than 100 European and UK cities and is well served by all the main, and budget airlines. We can often find return flights for less than €80 during summer or winter.

From Malaga, you have a few easy choices!

By car / taxi

The drive takes about 20-25 minutes. To find the taxi rank at Malaga airport, come out of arrivals and turn right. You'll walk about 2 minutes via a pedestrian concourse and past a cafe called Santa Maria. You'll find plenty of white taxis waiting there at all times of day or night. In 2022 taxis cost around €45 to get to the apartment.

The hire car pick ups are just across the road from here, in the underground garage.

The address to give your driver, or to put into your satnav if you are the driver, is: Matchroom Country Club, Avendida Suiza, 13, 29650 Las Lagunas de Mijas, Málaga, Spain.

There is plenty of free parking outside the apartment complex and it's a safe, quiet, residential street.

By train

If you'd rather get the train, the station is straight ahead when you come out of arrivals (slightly to your left.) Tickets cost about €3.20 and can be bought from the machines at the top of the stairs. Take the train to Fuengirola, which is about 35 minutes away. Trains run every 20 minutes.

The apartment is then a short cab ride (5mins from a cab by the station) or a 45minute walk.

This might not be your preferred option on arrival, but it's a good option when heading back to the airport, especially if you're down in town having lunch or soaking up the sun on your final day. It's the same train that gets you to Malaga too, just a few stops past the airport.
